Our Gospel Reflection
OUR GOSPEL REFLECTION
Many things in our lives and in our world are subject to change. Yet all of us find security in relationships and values that endure. Foremost among these are our family relationships. We can confidently accept change if we know that we will continue to be loved by our family and by God. We help impart this sense of trust and confidence in our children with our daily assurances to them that nothing can change our love for them.
As you gather as a family, look through several family photo albums. Observe and talk about things that have changed in your family life over the years. Talk also about the things that have stayed the same. We do not need to fear changes in our family life because we know that the most important aspects of our family life do not change, such as our love for one another. The same is true with God and God’s love for us. Read Sunday’s Gospel, Mark 13:24-32. Jesus teaches us that things in our world will change and that the world itself will one day end. We don’t need to be fearful because God’s love for us will never end. Conclude in prayer together thanking God his never-ending love for us. Pray together the Glory Be to the Father.
From Our Principal
Dear Families of St Brigid's,
It is so hard to believe that we are now over halfway through this term and there is so much more to be done as we enter the final 5 weeks of this year. Please ensure that you keep a close eye on our newsletter as it will contain all of the details in regards to the many events coming up – School Community Forum AGM, Year 7 Orientation Days, School Pageant, Year 6 Graduation, Swimming Carnival, Rewards Day etc.
Well Being Through Music
The students and staff of St Brigid’s Primary are excited to be taking part in the new initiative, Wellbeing Through Music. This program uses music, collaborative song writing, and recording to enhance students’ school experience by celebrating their enjoyment and participation. This term, our focus is on promoting pedestrian safety through music.
CJ and Matthew return to our school tomorrow, Thursday, November 14th, to professionally record the students singing the song they helped to develop.
All parents are warmly invited to join us for afternoon tea at 2:30 p.m. on the front deck, followed by a mini-concert at 2:50 p.m. in the Parish Hall, where the students will perform their song.
School Fee Payments 2025
Just a heads up that the Diocese of Lismore Catholic Schools Office will be sending all families an email seeking their preferences for school fee payment schedules for 2025 in the coming weeks. This process in relation to school fees is being transitioned to a more central process at the regional level rather than the school level. Please keep an eye out for this email in your inbox.
Enrolments for 2025
Enrolments for any class for 2025 are currently being finalised. Please, if you know of anyone intending to join the St Brigid's community for 2025, ask them to get their enrolment applications in now!
Our staffing allocation is based on our enrolments at Census, taken at the start of August. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like to enquire about enrolling here at St Brigid's for 2025 or even sooner.
Have Any of Your Contact Details Changed?
To ensure we have the most current information, please let us know if any of your contact details have changed or are due to change soon. This includes your address, phone numbers, and any medical information. Keeping our records up to date is essential for maintaining effective communication and supporting the safety of all students.
If any updates are needed, please inform Jo in the School Office at your earliest convenience. Thank you for your cooperation in helping us keep our records accurate.
Communication
Please remember that our primary communication tool is Compass. With our busy schedules, it’s essential to set aside a regular time to check it. Through Compass, you can access newsletters, reminders, permission notes, calendars, and more—all in one place. This platform helps simplify communication for both families and staff.
Take care and have a wonderful week ahead,
Tony Hunter,
Principal

Crazy Hair and Sock Day
On Friday we invite all students to get creative with their hair and socks for a fantastic cause! Come to school with your wildest, craziest hair and socks, and bring along a gold coin donation. Due to swimming lessons please avoid gel, hairspray and glitter.
All money raised will go to Catholic Mission to support vulnerable children in Mongolia, providing them with essential care, education, and hope for a brighter future. Let’s have fun while making a difference together!
St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal
This year, our school is proud to support the St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal by creating hampers filled with food and gifts to brighten the season for local families in need. We invite all families to participate by donating items each week, following our collection schedule.
Your contributions will help make Christmas a little more special for those in our community. We thank you in advance for your generosity and support as we work together to bring joy to others during this season of giving.
This week, we’re collecting cans and pantry staples like coffee, tea, pasta sauce, Milo, spreads, canned fruit, vegetables, and soups.
